Project Runway Season 8 Episode 1 Premieres: And Sew It Begins
Hello Designers ! Project Runway Season 8 is finally here and Heidi (with a questionable new shag 'do') and the gang are back with a new crop of aspiring attention grabbers (most of them over 12 years old this season which pleases me greatly) and a load of new 'Twists'! Our new group of 17 designers gather at NYC's newly minted Fashion stage Lincoln Center for their first challenge where Heidi and Tim confess that it was nearly impossible to narrow down the group to 16 because they were all so darn good. So their first challenge actually becomes the final stage of the audition process! No one is safe! And that's Twist #1 .
Backstage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Getting all glammed up for their big night, the gals of Victoria’s Secret were spotted preparing backstage at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida on Saturday (November 15).
Getting her hair and makeup done as she readied for a fast-paced evening during The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Heidi Klum playfully popped her head out from a curtain next to a “Do Not Enter” sign.

Nicole Richie misses, uh-oh!
In the previous days, I was just all praises to Nicole Richie’s fashion statements, – edgy, trendy, and so well improved. But as Heidi Klum always says in Project Runway, “in fashion one minute you’re in, the next thing you’re out”. And that is I guess what happened to my favorite dresser this year.
Attending the 18th annual Environmental Media awards at the Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles last Wednesday (November 12), the new mom and Fashionista of the Year nominee, was somehow looking a bit ‘skeletal’ with her updo hair and strapless paisley dress.
It’s just not so flattering.
But in fairness to Nic, it wasn’t that super bad to call it a fashion disaster. It’s just that maybe she was really hitting her fashion well the last few days; you know when you’re on top there’s nowhere to go but down.

Project Runway Gets Refused by NBC Universal
Sorry to start your weekend off like this, but this statement’s been emailed to some press from NBC Universal:
“NBC Universal is pleased that the court granted our motion for a preliminary injunction against The Weinstein Company. The overwhelming evidence demonstrated that The Weinstein Company violated NBC Universal’s right of first refusal to future cycles of Project Runway. After hearing all of the evidence, the court issued an order prohibiting The Weinstein Company from taking the show or any spin-off to Lifetime.”
Questions:
1. Will PR go back to Bravo, or does that mean it’s just (gasp) done?
2. Does this affect Nina Garcia’s job / tenure / existence at Marie Claire?
3. What about Project Runway: The Movie where they just mash all the episodes into one big marathon? Can that happen?
4. What will Heidi Klum do with all her free time?!
