Angelina Jolie & Maddox back in LA after trip to Iraq (update: CNN interview)
Angelina Jolie and her oldest child Maddox, 7, were seen at LAX airport on Friday after Angelina’s brief trip to Iraq in her role as ambassador for the UNHCR. Jolie and Maddox left through the back of the terminal, avoiding the huge throng of paparazzi at the front but inevitably being photographed and videotaped as they headed to a waiting SUV. According to E! Online they were with a bodyguard and an assistant.
SAG’s Disappointments
We’ve been awed and wowed by our list of best dressed celebrities at the 15th Screen Actors Guild Awards last night. This time let’s go see the looks that actually disappointed us.
Why disappointment? Well let’s just say we expected more from these stars… So, shall we?
Angelina Jolie
Probably the biggest disappointment last night – at least in the fashion department – is Brad Pitt’s partner, Angelina Jolie.
Of course with Ange’s celebrity stature, one can’t help but expect a little more effort from her. Her Max Azria dress has just been quite the same with her previous red carpet looks, – blousy, shapeless, and boring.
Really Ange, you better get yourself a new stylist now. You see an effortless glamour is good, but sometimes it pays to do sometimes.
Katie Holmes
Had she not been the wife of Tome Cruise, I doubt if people would care so much of Katie Holmes’s look. But then she is, thus she have to live up to people’s expectations.
And for last night’s look, I’m afraid I wasn’t really impressed.
Well okay there was of course glamour in her assymetrical Jil Sander sheath and Stuart Weitzman pumps, but was it anything fabulous? – No!
Claire Danes
Another disappointment for the night was Claire Danes who was clad in a Nina Ricci red flutter sleeves dress. Well the dress was actually pretty, but somehow I think it swallowed the actress’s presence.
Eva Longoria
Well I cannot really say Eva’s a big disappointment since this isn’t actually the first time I got disappointed with her look. I just wish she didn’t really look like a fruit in this Jenny Packham design.
Eva was also carrying a TED ROSSI CHAMPAGNE PYTHON PUFFY CLUTCH that retails for $635 and will be available on tedrossi.com shortly.
Teri Hatcher
No this isn’t a disappointment at all, it is a disaster!
I don’t know, I love Monique Lhuillier’s designs, but somehow this one on Teri Hatcher seems too heavy in the eye. This is just too much!

As crowd favorite, I don’t think Angelina still has to put on much effort to impress the people. You know, she can dress up whatever she wants and the people would still be raving about her.
So I guess it ain’t surprising to see her in this unflattering and downright boring black Elie Saab gown. And yes, I want to say that again, BORING!
Come on, not even the green Lorraine Schwartz earrings managed to give that stunning effect.
Jessica Biel
Justin Timberlake’s girl is actually one of those stars who disappointed me with their looks last night.
Clad in a white Prada duchesse satin gown, one can’t help but roll their eyes with this look.
One word here: Yawn!
Beyonce Knowles
Beyonce’s mermaid gown from House of Dereon Couture may not fall from the boring category yet it still doesn’t have anything to fall for the HIT category.
Now here, mermaid frocks sure are flattering for B but this one here is just too monstrous I can’t seem to appreciate it.
Evan Rachel Wood
I’ve got two words here for the actress: Washed Out!
For someone as pale as her, this nude Elie Saab Spring 2009 Couture gown just drains Evan’s presence (literally). Come on, everyone wants to outshine each other for the night and here goes Evan Rachel Wood deliberately losing herself in the crowd.
Amy Adams
Can anyone give me a reason why I should love this Carolina Herrera red strapless gown of Amy Adams? I actually tried so hard looking for something exceptional with this look and I always end up with nothing.

Angelina Jolie: Focused On Family
Ready to step away from the limelight, Angelina Jolie recently revealed that she plans to focus her attention solely on family in the near future.
“I don’t plan to keep acting very long,” Jolie tells the BBC. “I’m ready to do a few things now and fade away and get ready to be a grandma one day.”

Nicole Richie hits it again
It sure seems that new mom, Nicole Richie is having a time of her life this year in the fashion department as more and more people give her a thumbs up for her various styles.
Well she’s leading in our Fashionista of the Year category and she follows Angelina Jolie in our Vavavoom Mom category, with Ange leading only with 5% of the votes.
And now E!online’s Fashion Police is also giving Paris’ BFF a fashion hit mark with her printed micro-minidress and opaque tights paired with platforms at an H&M Shopping event in Hollywood.
“Classic and flawless, kind of how we would dress every day if we lived a Devil Wears Prada life,” comments the news agency of Nic’s look.
And that said, I guess I’d have to say, we couldn’t agree more, could we?

Angelina Jolie Steps Out for “Kung-Fu Panda” DVD Party
Making a surprise appearance on the red carpet, Angelina Jolie attended DreamWorks Animation’s “Kung Fu Panda” and “Secrets of the Furious Five” co-DVD release party at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (November 9).
Accompanied by her “Kung Fu Panda” co-stars Dustin Hoffman and Jack Black, the “Wanted” actress looked sexy in a black mini dress as she waved to fans and photographers alike.

Angelina Jolie, through the window, Chatting with Matt Lauer
This morning I went over to the Today Show to try and get some more footage of Angelina Jolie. Angelina came back to NYC to appear on the show to promote her new film, Changeling. I was able to get some video of Jolie through the glass as she is interviewed by Matt Lauer.
