More Fabulous Fashion Scoop

Welcome back readers!  Welcome back to the work week after a long month of last minute deadlines, vacation days, travel, and holidays.  It is unfortunately time to get back to the real world.  Welcome to 2010.  Welcome to a new decade. Welcome back to 39th & Broadway! Here’s a little sampling of some fashion scoop you may have missed over the last month while unwrapping gifts and drinking champagne. Enjoy!

- Finally! Project Runway, our favorite fashion reality TV show is coming back to NYC where it belongs. In the seventh season for the show, Tim Gunn and an eclectic group of aspiring designers from around the globe (Dominican, China, Mexico, Philippines…) are back for some fierce competition. The new season premieres on January 14th on the Lifetime Network!

- Well, it was only a matter of time until some heads rolled over at Ungaro. Post the Lindsay Lohan debacle CEO Mounir Moufarrige has been reportedly forced out. But unfortunately, despite our pleas, Lindsay is still in! WTF?

- PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has a new face for their I’d Rather Go Naked campaign. Our favorite NYC reality star Bethenny Frankel from the Real Housewives has posed in the buff (and a lot of photo-shopping) for Peta. Bethenny has been busy lately, besides Peta photo-shoots and Twitter wars with Rachel Zoe, Bethenny has finally gotten knocked up by Fiancé Jason Hoppy and is shooting her very own reality TV show from Bravo.

- J-Lo rocked it out on New Year’s Eve in Times Square wearing a sheer bodysuit covered in bling. No doubt J-Lo looked gorgeous, but we have to say this ensemble was not the most flattering, nor age appropriate for the curvaceous mother of two.  Besides, haven’t we seen this look before, perhaps a decade ago on Britney Spears circa VMAs 2000?

- If you are a fan of Target collaborations, Rodarte’s line debuted last month. Did you go? What did you think?  One unique element of this collection is that Rodarte used a fashion blogger as the line’s ambassador, which blogger was chosen? None other than the controversial “baby blogger” 13 year old, Tavi. Check out her adorable video below.
