KFChow is name of a real person. Chow is the family name while KF the initials. There are probably tens of thousands people in the world having the same short name. I just happened to register the domain name sooner than others back in year 2000.
Right now I am using the domain to run a experimental Wordpress site. Wordpress, if you ever know what it is, the world’s leading blogging script. A recent figure I heard about its popularity is about 0.1% of world’s web sites are created using Wordpress. 0.1% may look like a trivial figure. But I can tell you that the second runner-up may be miles away from the tiny number. There may be millions of web building tools around. So you can imagine if one of them can achieve a 0.1%, it is an exceptional achievement.
So what is making me to land on Wordpress? In the past ten years, I have used some two dozen of web building tools. WP (short for Wordpress) conquers by it simplicity (with the core files sized some 5MB can get a site up and running in 5 minutes) yet being feature-rich (nearly 3,000 features in form of plugins).
No one needs all 3,000 features. I have built over a dozen web sites using WP. Half of them are commercial and making millions of annual sales together via this kind of online channel. I have used about 30 different plugins to make each of the site uniques and its respective functionality relevant to its business image and process. Nevertheless the WP tool is so attractive that one would not stop just there. I am always tempted to look on new plugins and check on new themes. So here come the purpose of this KFChow.com site, to experiment WP new version and new plugins.
